How we write

Every fact on a page has to come from a source we opened: museum collections, newspapers, trade press, patents, company registries and the brands' own pages. Those sources are listed under each text. When the record is unclear, the text says so instead of picking a story. Dates and figures we could not confirm are left out.

Each page shows when it was last updated. Product suggestions may carry an Amazon affiliate link; brands do not pay to appear or to be described.

Corrections

If something on a page is wrong, write to editor@lingeriemuseum.com with the page address and, if you can, a source. Confirmed errors are fixed on the page and the "Last updated" date changes.
