About The Lingerie Museum

The world's first digital museum dedicated to the cultural history of intimate fashion.

What We Do

The Lingerie Museum explores 5,000 years of intimate fashion history — from the ancient Minoan breast bands of Crete to Rihanna's inclusive Savage X Fenty revolution. We believe that the history of lingerie is the history of women's bodies, freedom, and self-expression.

Why It Matters

Lingerie sits at the intersection of fashion, feminism, technology, and culture. The corset was both a tool of oppression and a statement of elegance. The bra was patented by a teenage debutante and reinvented by a communist revolutionary. A bikini named after a nuclear test was banned by the Vatican and conquered the world.

These are not just stories about clothing. They are stories about power, identity, and the ongoing negotiation between society and the bodies it tries to shape.

Our Collection

The museum features a comprehensive timeline spanning five millennia, in-depth exhibits on pivotal moments in lingerie history, profiles of the visionaries who shaped the industry, an exploration of lace craftsmanship and its cultural heritage, and analysis of lingerie's role in art, cinema, and advertising.
