A strapless bra relies entirely on its underband and (usually) silicone grips along the top edge to stay in place without shoulder support. They're engineered differently from ordinary bras: the underband is stiffer, the wings are longer, and the cups are usually underwired and molded.
Most modern strapless bras come with detachable straps so they can be worn as a convertible bra too.
How to Identify
- No shoulder straps (or detached straps visible)
- Silicone strips along the top edge of the cup
- Longer side wings and stiff underband
- Almost always underwired and molded
