Barbara Palvin has spoken out about the divided response to her walking the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway just six weeks after giving birth.
The model, who welcomed her first child, daughter Sylvie, with husband Dylan Sprouse on September 7, told E! News that reactions were "50-50." Some fans were thrilled to see her back, while others felt she should be resting at home. "Everyone's postpartum journey is different," she said, "and this is just mine."
Palvin admitted the widespread attention left her feeling "overwhelmed," but credited her husband and family for their support in getting her to the show. Her advice to other new mothers: "Don't be scared to ask for help."
Sprouse, who went viral for standing and cheering as his wife walked, said he was "as proud as I could possibly be" and pushed back on the idea that his reaction was unusual. "It shouldn't be extraordinary to cheer for someone that you love," he said, adding that partners should simply "clap and cheer."
Palvin said she was relieved Sprouse made it in time, since he was traveling home from filming. The couple later celebrated their first Halloween with Sylvie, with Palvin and Sprouse dressed as characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
