Dearfoams, the slipper brand under RG Barry, is expanding beyond footwear with new product launches starting this fall. The comfort-focused label will move into hosiery, legwear, base layers, casual activewear, and more through three new licensing partnerships.
Dearfoams president Justine Suh said the brand has always represented comfort at home and in daily life, and these partnerships help translate that promise into new categories and seasons. She called the move an important step from America's leading slipper brand into a true comfort lifestyle brand.
Gina Group will produce men's, women's, and children's hosiery and legwear, plus cold-weather and fashion accessories. Bluefish Apparel will handle base layers, casual activewear, and thermal apparel for all ages, including women's underwear and bras. Mad Engine will create a Family Bear Throwsie exclusively for Walmart.com in Fall 2026.
These deals complement existing licensed products in sleepwear, soft home, and pet items. Suh emphasized the goal is not just placing the Dearfoams name on more products, but building a thoughtful assortment that makes everyday life more comfortable. She cited strong partners, brand recognition, and retail relationships as a foundation for long-term growth.
Dearfoams was founded in 1947 by Florence Melton, who introduced foam-cushioned slippers. The brand is now part of a Marubeni lifestyle platform, which also includes recent acquisitions with Marubeni's backing. RG Barry recently gained global rights to Clarks slippers, Timberland's slipper collection, and the Gola sneaker brand.
Suh joined Dearfoams in January 2025 and has shifted the brand toward multi-category footwear, now evolving it into a full lifestyle brand. The label also offers a premium Fireside shearling collection.
