On Wednesday, Anemos opens its first-ever New York City pop-up, trading Pacific sunsets for West Village cobblestones. It's a homecoming of sorts for cofounders Lauren Arapage and Joshua Shaub, whose careers began in New York - Arapage in press at Stella McCartney, Shaub in buying at Moda Operandi. Their brand, rooted in the effortless minimalism of Los Angeles, now returns to the city that shaped its early energy.

The 700-square-foot space at 325 West 11th Street is open daily for one month, with a possible extension through July. For a label whose New York customers account for 20 percent of online sales, this pop-up feels less like a business expansion and more like a reunion. "We're up 140 percent year-over-year," Shaub notes, acknowledging the validation of sustainable, minimalist design finding its audience.

The shop will host activations including a cocktail party and a collaboration with Work(ing) Hard World. Arapage describes it as a gathering point for those who value beautiful design and intentional living. The interior reflects the brand's clean, tactile ethos - fabrics sourced sustainably, garments sewn in Los Angeles. "The in-store experience is about connection," Shaub adds. "You can feel the craftsmanship in ways a screen can't convey."

Full seasonal offerings will be available, from knitwear to swimwear, with exclusive same-day delivery and in-store exchanges. Highlights include a red rock print and striped swimwear arriving in June. The collection moves seamlessly from beach to life - a California sensibility that resonates whether you're on the coast or in the city.

In the world of lingerie and ready-to-wear, Anemos joins a lineage of brands that blur boundaries between comfort and sophistication. Their pop-up is a reminder that ease, like style, is never out of place.
