Kimora Lee Simmons hosted a Y2K-inspired runway show in Van Nuys, California, on Tuesday to mark the debut of the first collaboration between True Religion and her brand Baby Phat.
The event, held alongside a Silver Air Private Jet, carried a hot pink theme through the lighting, the clothes and the runway itself. Simmons wore a strapless baby pink dress paired with black mesh pumps - the Saint Laurent Oxalis 110 Mesh Slingbacks, with semi-sheer uppers, leather trim at the vamp, a slingback strap and thin leather ankle ties she knotted at the front of her leg. The pointed-toe shoes sit on a 110mm stiletto heel with a flared, geometric base.
Simmons launched Baby Phat in 1999 as a women's streetwear extension of Phat Farm. Guests in the front row included India Love in Christian Louboutin Just Nothing Alta platforms and D'Lila Combs and Jessie Combs in Steve Madden Morals Pink Nubuck Pointed-Toe Lace-Up Ankle Boots. Trevor Jackson, Dreezy and Justine Skye were also in attendance.
The limited-edition collection, centered on low-rise denim and fronted by "Love Island USA" personalities Aniya Harvey and Kayda Bosse, was unveiled on Oct. 20. It combines True Religion's signature stitching and denim silhouettes with Baby Phat's pink accents, crystal embellishments, satin and cat branding.
