Temperley London has announced a reshuffled leadership team following the departure of founder Alice Temperley. Morgaine McGee steps in as chief executive officer, while Jack Isenberg takes over as design director. The pair will steer the brand toward its first collection without Temperley's direct hand, set to debut in September.
McGee brings more than twenty years of experience in fashion and accessories, having served as co-CEO of The Vertical Collective and managing director at licensing firm Signal Brands. Her background spans design, product development, production, and operations. "This marks an exciting new chapter for Temperley London as we bring a fresh perspective to the brand, while honoring its legacy, our rich British heritage as well as our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship," McGee said. Isenberg, a Central Saint Martins graduate, has worked with houses including Tom Ford, Valentino, Versace, and Jenny Packham. He noted the brand's dedication to craft drew him in: "The embroidery, the finishing. These are things that can only be done by people who know how."
The new appointments come as Dubai-based Times Square Group, which acquired a majority stake in Temperley London in 2023, aims to scale the business globally. The brand has weathered restructuring, Brexit, and post-COVID challenges. Temperley herself, after two decades at the helm, said she is "enormously proud" of what she built and is stepping away to pursue an independent creative venture involving her family and 22 muses. Her final collections will continue to reflect the bohemian, colorful style seen at the brand's recently refurbished Sloane Street flagship.
