The Language of Love: Diesel and Tinder Rewrite the Rules of Connection for Pride

In the lexicon of fashion, few brands have championed irreverent self-expression quite like Diesel. Founded in 1978 by Renzo Rosso, the house built its identity on a philosophy of "successful living" - a phrase that has adorned denim and leather for decades. Now, for Pride Month, Diesel is revising that mantra with a collaboration that feels less like a marketing stunt and more like a conversation: a capsule collection and campaign with Tinder, the dating app that has reshaped how we swipe toward intimacy.

The partnership is anchored by a lo-fi, VHS-style campaign shot as a documentary. Here, American artist and designer Gigi Goode - a figure whose fluid movement between fashion and performance mirrors Diesel's own ethos of authenticity - conducts intimate interviews with members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The result is a raw, tender exploration of love's many forms, from ghosting to grand gestures. As Diesel's creative director Glenn Martens notes, the collaboration "isn't about idealizing love, but defending it."

The capsule itself spans 17 pieces, including trompe-l'œil lace lingerie - a nod to Diesel's history of subverting intimate apparel, much like the brand's 1990s campaigns that blurred the line between underwear and outerwear. The collection also features burnout jersey dresses, denim accessories, and co-branded tags that whisper the new slogan: "For Successful Loving." Prices range from €45 to €450, available in select stores and online starting Wednesday.

Beyond commerce, Diesel and Tinder have each donated $100,000 to Outright International, funding economic empowerment programs for LGBTQIA+ individuals in Colombia, South Africa, Ukraine, and the Philippines. It's a gesture that echoes Diesel's past Pride collaborations - notably with the Tom of Finland Foundation - yet feels distinctly of this moment: a reminder that, before we swipe, we dress. And in that dressing, we tell the world who we are ready to love.
