In a moment that feels ripped from a scrapbook of early-aughts nostalgia, two defining forces of millennial girlhood—Roxy and Juicy Couture—have joined forces for a 25-piece collection launching Wednesday. The collaboration, which spans bikinis, rash guards, bucket hats, platform flip-flops, tracksuits, and board shorts, arrives in a palette of mint green, strawberry pink, and coconut white, evoking a summer sorbet. Both brands, now under the umbrella of Authentic Brands Group, imprint their iconic logos on the heart and rear of select pieces, nodding to the era when logos were worn as badges of identity.

Roxy, founded in 1990 as the first global action-sports brand designed exclusively for women, carved a space for female surfers and skaters long before the term “athleisure” entered our lexicon. Juicy Couture, born in 1997, redefined casual luxury with its velour tracksuits, becoming a shorthand for Hollywood glamour off-duty. Their union feels less like a corporate synergy and more like a reunion of kindred spirits. As Danielle McKenzie, Roxy’s brand lead at European licensee Beaumanoir, notes, these brands “shaped a generation” by standing for confidence and self-expression. The collection draws from archival campaign imagery, music videos, and paparazzi shots of icons like Britney Spears in Roxy board shorts and Paris Hilton in Juicy velour, translating that early-2000s beach culture into a modern capsule.

Standout pieces include a micro swim short emblazoned with “Beach Bum” across the seat, French Terry reinterpretations for the shore, and a multicoast-striped bikini crafted from swim-friendly French Terry. Priced between $60 and $125, the line will be available for one season only at roxy.com, juicycouture.com, and select retailers including ASOS, Urban Outfitters, and surf specialty stores. McKenzie predicts sell-outs, noting that the response to teasers has been electric. “They’ve been waiting for this,” she says, adding that the collaboration signals an end to overly polished millennial marketing. “Consumers want something real, something obvious—a great fun moment that triggers an emotional pull.”

For the Lingerie Museum, this collection is a fascinating artifact of how lingerie-adjacent swimwear and loungewear continue to blur boundaries, reflecting a lineage from corsets to track jackets. It’s a reminder that the garments we choose to drape our bodies in—whether a bikini or a velour hoodie—are never just fabric; they are memory, identity, and, here, a love letter to an era that refuses to fade.
