London - For a brand synonymous with trench coats and umbrellas, Burberry is making a splash in decidedly warmer waters. The house has partnered with Hunza G, the cult-favorite swimwear label known for its one-size crinkle fabric, on a collaboration that bridges two very British obsessions: weather and the seaside. The collection lands Monday across both brands' e-commerce platforms, Burberry boutiques, and select retailers.

This is not merely a licensing deal; it's a meeting of textile minds. Hunza G, founded in 1984 as a response to the rigid swimwear of the era, pioneered a single-size, ultra-stretchy crinkle fabric that adapts to the body - a quiet revolution in comfort and inclusivity. Burberry, founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry, built its empire on gabardine, a waterproof, breathable fabric that changed outerwear forever. Both houses, it turns out, are obsessed with material innovation born of the elements.

The collection reimagines Hunza G's signature silhouettes in Burberry's restrained palette of black, white, metallic cocoa, and red. The iconic Burberry check appears not on raincoats but on bikini trims, swim skirt hems, and tube tops. To mark the occasion, Burberry has introduced a seahorse motif - a playful reworking of its medieval Knight logo, now an underwater adventurer carrying a shield and a banner for Hunza G. It's a heraldic nod to a new chapter.

Burberry's chief marketing officer Jonathan Kiman noted that the brand "has a long-standing history of embracing all elements - not just the unpredictable weather." For Hunza G CEO Krishna Nikhil, the partnership validates decades of craftsmanship: "To become the first swimwear brand to collaborate with a luxury house... the fact that it is Burberry made this all the more special."

The campaign, shot by Ryan McGinley, features actress Simone Ashley and model Alva Claire on a windswept beach - the perfect setting for a collection that proves British style is equally at home in the rain and the sun.
