Taylor Hill

Taylor Hill's first modeling job was a lingerie catalog. In 2013 the Illinois-born model appeared in Intimissimi's catalog, and within two years she was a Victoria's Secret Angel. Born Taylor Marie Hill on March 5, 1996, in Palatine, Illinois, and raised in Arvada, Colorado, she walked her first Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2014 at 18, the youngest model in that year's rotation.

A ranch in Granby, 2011

Hill was discovered in 2011, at 14, by the talent agent and photographer Jim Jordan at a ranch in Granby, Colorado, where her family went horseback riding. She signed with IMG Models, which still represents her worldwide. Print work for Forever 21 followed the Intimissimi catalog.

Earls Court at 18

The 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was staged at Earls Court in London on December 2, 2014, with Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande performing. Hill was the youngest woman on the runway. The same year she became the face of Rosa Cha, the Brazilian swimwear label founded by Amir Slama, which gave her a second foothold in the beachwear and lingerie market.

The 2015 Angel class

In 2015 she hosted an event for Pink, the company's younger line, and was named an Angel in the same year. Victoria's Secret promoted ten models to Angel status in 2015, including Elsa Hosk, Lais Ribeiro and Jasmine Tookes.

Paris, Shanghai and New York

Hill walked every show from 2014 to 2018: London in 2014, New York in 2015, the Grand Palais in Paris in 2016, Shanghai in 2017 and New York again in 2018. Her social media reach was part of her value to the brand. Harper's Bazaar ranked her ninth on its 2016 list of the most followed models, with 3.6 million followers, and in 2016 she entered Forbes' list of top-earning models at number 17, with estimated earnings of $4 million.

Lancôme and the luxury side

In July 2016 she became a face of the French beauty brand Lancôme. Campaigns for Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, David Yurman and Joe's Jeans followed between 2016 and 2018, and she walked for Versace, Valentino, Chanel and Moschino.

Back on the runway in 2024

After the 2018 show, Victoria's Secret cancelled the event in 2019 amid falling ratings and criticism of its marketing chief. When the company brought the show back in New York on October 15, 2024, with Tyra Banks as host, Hill was in the cast again, ten years after her debut. By then the lineup also included Valentina Sampaio, one of the first two transgender models to walk the show, a measure of how much the event had changed around her.
