A triangle bra is made of two literal triangle-shaped pieces of fabric, attached at the top to the shoulder straps and at the bottom to the underband. There's no molding, usually no underwire, and no padding (though some have removable pads).
Triangle bras overlap heavily with bralettes and with bikini tops — the main visual cue is the strict triangular cup shape rather than rounded or molded.
How to Identify
- Two clearly triangular fabric panels
- Straps attach at the top apex of each triangle
- Band attaches at the bottom outer edges
- Usually wireless and unpadded
- Common in both lingerie and swimwear contexts
