Tulle

Tulle

Very fine, sheer hexagonal net — lighter and finer than mesh.

Tulle is an extremely fine net fabric with a hexagonal weave, historically made of silk and now usually nylon or polyester. It's much finer than standard mesh — the individual threads are almost invisible and the fabric can be nearly transparent.

In lingerie, tulle is most commonly seen as: - Backing for embroidered motifs (giving the effect of floating flowers) - Sheer overlays on bra cups - Insert panels in briefs and chemises

Bridal tulle is the same fabric, just used in larger quantities.
