Kiss'N'Thrill is a small swimwear label founded in 2019 by Katri Palm, a designer from a small town in Estonia, who runs it as founder and creative director. The bikinis are made in Bali by local artisans and sold through the brand's own web shop. It is a swim brand first and last; its place in this encyclopedia comes from the bikini, the garment that sits closest to lingerie in cut and construction.
An Estonian label sewn in Bali
The company's own account of itself is short. Katri Palm grew up in a small Estonian town, traveled widely, and built the brand afterward. The founding year is 2019. Every piece, the brand says, is made in Bali by local artisans, and the product pages back that up with a "Made in Bali" line on each swim style.
The arrangement is common among young swim labels. Bali has a large cut-and-sew industry built around surf and resort wear, and small runs are easier to place there than in a big factory that wants thousands of units per color. For a one-designer brand selling direct from a web shop, that matters more than almost anything else.
How the company describes its look is worth quoting. It aims for "femininity with a touch of a tomboy edge," in pieces meant to move on a beach, in the waves and on a dance floor. Translated out of marketing, that means sporty, fairly minimal shapes with enough coverage to swim in, in prints and colors that read as fashion rather than as athletic kit.
Frida, Demi and Stella: the fabrics
The product data is more useful than the slogans, because it lists what each style is made of.
| Style | Main fabric | Lining |
|---|---|---|
| Frida | 78% recycled nylon, 22% elastane | not listed separately |
| Naiia | 82% recycled nylon, 18% elastane | not listed separately |
| Demi | polyester and viscose mesh | 80% recycled nylon, 20% spandex |
| Stella | 95% cotton, 5% spandex | 80% nylon, 20% spandex |
Three points stand out. First, most of the range uses recycled nylon, the standard choice for a swim brand that wants a lower-impact story without giving up chlorine and salt resistance. Second, the elastane share is high, around a fifth of the fabric, which gives a firm, close fit and good recovery after the suit gets wet. Third, two styles step outside ordinary swim cloth. Demi is cut from a sheer mesh over a solid lining, a construction borrowed straight from lingerie. Stella uses a cotton-spandex face, which looks soft and matte but dries more slowly than nylon.
Tops and bottoms are sold separately, as with most bikini brands, at prices in the mid fifty-dollar range per piece in the shop's US-dollar view. The Frida collection, in polka-dot prints such as Matcha and Pink, has its own section on the site, next to Printed Swim, Solid Swim and One-pieces.
Where swim meets lingerie
The bikini bottom and the triangle or bralette-style top are the shared vocabulary of swimwear and underwear. A mesh-over-lining bikini such as Demi is close to what a lingerie maker would call a lined bralette. That overlap is why swim labels like this one turn up in lingerie archives, and why a buyer can wear the same shape on the beach and under a sheer shirt in town.
Love Island and a direct-to-buyer shop
The brand's site carries a line labeled "As seen on Love Island," the reality show whose villa wardrobes have made swimwear labels visible to a large audience. It also sells a small range of apparel, accessories such as wrap-around sunglasses, and gift cards.
There is no wholesale network to speak of on the brand's own pages, and no published figures for sales or staff. Kiss'N'Thrill is, on the evidence available, what it looks like: a small swim label with an Estonian founder, a Balinese workroom, and a range that leans on recycled nylon and lingerie-style mesh.
