La Vora Lingrie, a misspelling in this museum's records of the label's own name, La Vora Lingerie, is a lingerie brand documented by a single spring-summer 2019 catalog of soft-cup bras and briefs. The catalog survives in the Fashion Model Directory, and this museum's archive holds 69 product records from the same season. The brand's founder, country and current status could not be confirmed from any public source in October 2026.
The name on the box
The correct spelling is not in doubt. The 2019 catalog images carry the brand's wordmark, "La Vora" over the word "Lingerie," in two versions: a flowing script on the packaging and a block capital mark beside a small red-orange square on the product shots. The database entry, "La Vora Lingrie," drops an "e" and should be corrected. The same misspelling appears on the Fashion Model Directory's brand page, which suggests the error was copied from there.
The packaging is part of the story the catalog tells. The opening image places a pale pink contour bra and matching brief next to a blush gift box and a paper shopping bag with rope handles, both printed with the script wordmark. Presenting a bra as a boxed gift is a deliberate choice. It signals a label selling to online customers who want the delivery to feel like a purchase from a boutique.
What the 2019 catalog shows
The garments are simple and narrowly focused. The lead set is a molded contour bra and a matching brief, all in pale pink, the T-shirt bra formula of smooth cups that disappear under clothing. The rest of the catalog is a run of wire-free bralettes with scooped necklines and thin straps, in nude, ivory and white. They appear to be cut from smooth knit fabric without lace or visible seams, closer to sleep and lounge bras than to fashion lingerie.
Everything is shot on a plain white studio background, with no styling, no location and no props beyond the packaging. That is the visual language of e-commerce listings rather than of editorial campaigns, and it fits a label that sold mainly through online storefronts. Nothing in the images points to a specific country.
A claim we did not repeat
The Fashion Model Directory's profile describes La Vora as a Los Angeles company founded in 2018, offering lingerie and sleepwear in a wide range of sizes, with custom-made pieces. We found no source for any of that. The text follows a generic pattern the directory uses for several small labels, and in at least one other case the same kind of profile placed an Australian swim label in Los Angeles. Until a company record or the brand's own site confirms it, the 2018 date and the Los Angeles base stay out of this entry and out of the database.
Searches turned up no trace of a current store. The obvious web addresses, lavoralingerie.com and www.lavoralingerie.com, did not resolve, and lavora.com is a domain offered for sale on the naming marketplace BrandBucket. English Wikipedia has no article.
Where La Vora fits
What the catalog does establish is the brand's segment. In 2019, wire-free bralettes and smooth contour bras in skin tones were the basic stock of mass-market lingerie, sold by everyone from Aerie to the global fast-fashion chains. A small label could enter that market with a handful of styles in three or four colors, a pretty box and a studio shoot, and La Vora's 2019 range is exactly that kit.
The museum's 69 records are held in the private product archive. They and the public catalog are, for now, the brand's full documented history: one season, one wordmark, pale pink and nude, and a spelling that needs fixing.
