A Quiet Revolution (2009)

Yasmine Eslami launched her eponymous brand in 2009 in Paris, bringing a philosophy of radical simplicity to a city known for ornate lingerie traditions. Where French lingerie heritage celebrated embellishment — lace, embroidery, applique, and decorative detail — Eslami stripped her designs to their essence: perfect fabrics, precise cuts, and nothing more.

Born in Paris to an Iranian family, Eslami studied at the prestigious Studio Bercot fashion school before working for Chantal Thomass. Her apprenticeship under the "Queen of French Lingerie" gave her intimate knowledge of French lingerie traditions, which she then deliberately chose to transcend.

The Minimalist Aesthetic

Eslami's pieces were defined by what they lacked. No underwire. No padding. Minimal hardware. Barely visible seams. The result was lingerie that seemed to exist at the threshold of visibility — garments so light and simple that they approached invisibility while remaining profoundly beautiful.

The fabrics did the heavy lifting: silk tulle, Japanese mesh, the finest cotton jersey. Each material was selected for its ability to drape against the body with absolute naturalness, creating a sensation of wearing nothing while looking exquisitely dressed.

The Swimwear Connection

Eslami's expansion into swimwear was a natural extension of her minimalist philosophy. The same clean lines and premium fabrics that defined her lingerie translated to swim, creating pieces that were minimal without being basic — swimwear for women who valued understatement as the highest form of elegance.
