Marks & Spencer Lingerie 2027: Coco de Mer and Silk

Marks & Spencer lingerie for 2027: the 24-piece Coco de Mer collaboration, lace on the centenary runway, Autograph silk sleepwear and a new route into Europe.

By Claire Delaunay · 4 min read

Marks & Spencer lingerie heads into 2027 with a borrowed name on its hangers. On October 15, 2026, the British retailer launches a 24-piece collection with Coco de Mer, the London lingerie and sexual wellness label founded by Samantha Roddick in 2001. It is the boldest underwear line the chain has put out in years, and it arrives in the same month that M&S marked a century of selling clothes.

One hundred years, one runway

M&S started selling clothing in 1926. To mark the anniversary it staged a show at London Fashion Week on September 18, 2026, at the Design Museum in Kensington: 57 looks, 41 for women and 16 for men, all on sale the moment they left the runway. The company's press release says the designs drew on the M&S Archive, which holds more than 72,000 items, and on what it calls its "long-standing leadership in lingerie." In practice that meant lace bodies and camisoles worn as outerwear, the underwear-as-outerwear styling that has run through fashion shows for several seasons.

The same release gives the business context. M&S says it held a 10.2% share of the UK fashion market in the 2026 financial year, that the number of customers under 35 grew 16% on the year, and that it employs 116 in-house designers in the UK. Chief executive Stuart Machin described the aim as "fashion that is stylish but wearable, made with outstanding quality and always value."

Coco de Mer at the high street price

The collaboration, first reported by Drapers on October 11, 2026, is split into four ranges, each with its own fabric idea:

RangeWhat it is
ReverieThe lead range: Art Deco embroidery on emerald green satin, with a high-neck plunge bra and a body
BelleEyelash lace with satin, in crimson and black, lighter and sheerer
EnigmaEmbroidery with metallic touches, plunge bras and soft bralettes
SirenFloral embroidery on midnight blue satin, with cut-out details

Sizes run from 30 to 42 bands in A to H cups, and XS to XL for the bodies and other pieces. The collection is sold online and in two stores only: the London Pantheon branch on Oxford Street and the Handforth Dean store near Manchester. The campaign stars the London model Alva Claire.

Charlotte Davies, the M&S lingerie director, said the brands "share a belief in the power of lingerie." Lucy Litwack, Coco de Mer's chief executive, said the line combines design and craftsmanship "and everyday wearability with a sense of luxury." For Coco de Mer, which is sold at Harrods and runs a shop in Belgravia, the partnership falls in its 25th year and puts the label in front of a far larger audience.

For M&S, the interest is in what the ranges add to its own lingerie business. M&S has offered bra fitting for decades, and its lingerie department is built on everyday bras. A plunge bra in emerald satin with Art Deco embroidery is a different message, aimed at the younger customer that the centenary release says the company is now winning. Autograph turns to silk

The quieter half of the season sits under Autograph, the store's premium label. Its Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, announced on October 9, 2026, includes silk bralettes, camisoles and French knicker sets, silk pyjamas in black and ivory, and a cashmere robe and cashmere thermal top in taupe. Some of the silk is machine washable, a practical detail that suits the M&S customer. The wider Autograph palette is espresso, charcoal, moss, camel and deep navy.

Put side by side, the two launches show the split in the M&S lingerie offer for the coming year. Coco de Mer brings saturated jewel colors, embroidery and cut-outs for evenings. Autograph supplies silk in muted neutrals for sleep and lounging. Both lean on satin and silk, fabrics that photograph well and sell the idea of an occasion.

Getting the stock to Europe

One more change affects where these pieces can be bought. On August 24, 2026, M&S moved its whole online business for continental Europe onto ZEOS, the logistics service run by Zalando, covering 22 markets with Poland, France, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain as the main ones. In a Polish trial, the company says, customer demand rose 22% and return processing fell from 35 days to 8. Fashion is named as the main driver of that growth.

What we know about 2027

The longer history of the chain's underwear is on our Marks & Spencer lingerie page. What the company has announced for the year ahead is narrower. It is selling a designer-label lingerie collaboration in two flagship stores and online, it put lace bodies on its centenary runway at London Fashion Week, and its premium line is pushing silk. Whether the Coco de Mer ranges stay beyond this autumn, or reach more than two shops, M&S has not said.
