Triumph International 2027: China Exit, Passports and Lace

Triumph left China, launched digital product passports, tested recycled stretch yarn and set a 63 percent emissions cut. What the lingerie group brings into 2027.

For Triumph International 2027 is a year of materials and paperwork as much as of bras. The family-owned underwear group, founded in 1886 in Heubach in southern Germany and now run from Switzerland, has spent the past twelve months leaving China, putting digital passports on its products, testing recycled stretch yarns and signing up to hard climate targets, while its lace ranges carry on in the stores that remain.

Leaving China after 33 years

The largest single decision came in late 2025. In November 2025, The Epoch Times reported that Triumph would withdraw from China by December 31, 2025, closing its counters and stores across the country. The company had sold there since 1992 and made goods there since 1979, and it was credited with popularizing the underwire bra in the Chinese market. The report gave the reasons as a slowing economy, shoppers moving to cheaper products, and domestic brands that now lead the category. Wacoal and Victoria's Secret have also cut back there.

The exit leaves Triumph more European than at any time in decades. Its corporate site lists a core of 15 European markets, and the group's brands are Triumph, sloggi, AMOSTYLE in Japan and the Swiss retailer Beldona.

A passport sewn into the data

On November 25, 2025, Triumph launched Digital Product Passports for 20 percent of its European styles across the Triumph and sloggi ranges. Each passport records where the garment was made, where its materials came from, its composition and production steps, environmental data where available, and packaging. The company said it will extend them to more styles over the coming seasons, which puts a larger share of the 2027 range in scope.

Recycled stretch and a sugarcane cup

Stretch lingerie has always been hard to recycle because it mixes fibers that cannot be easily separated. On December 10, 2025, Triumph, the Italian nylon maker RadiciGroup and The LYCRA Company announced a process that recovers mixed-fiber stretch waste. Triumph supplied surplus fabric and made the first prototype, a bra and brief sewn from the recycled yarn. The partners said the next step is to explore a capsule collection, so it remains a test, not a product.

A second materials project has a date. On May 15, 2026, Triumph announced that Corsina, its subsidiary and the MARC O'POLO licensee since 2022, will use SUGARCUP, a cup material developed by Fullstride with Braskem's bio-based plastic made from sugarcane, in the MARC O'POLO Bodywear collection launching in 2027. Caroline Levy of Fullstride said the material shows bio-based inputs "can meet the technical demands of lingerie." The cup is the part of a bra that does the shaping, so the material has to hold its form through wear and washing, which is why the test matters.

Triumph International 2027 and the 63 percent target

On July 7, 2026, Triumph said the Science Based Targets initiative had approved its climate goals the month before. The company commits to cut absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 63 percent by 2035 against a 2023 baseline, both for its own operations and energy (scopes 1 and 2) and for the supply chain, including purchased goods and transport (scope 3). The statement stresses that these are real reductions, not offsets. For a company that buys most of its fabric and sewing, the scope 3 figure is the hard one, and it will shape which mills and factories make the 2027 collections.

What is on the rails

The product side is steadier. In October 2026, Triumph's Swiss online store was leading with Love in Lace, a newly designed series sold under the line "Feels like a love letter written in lace." It covers underwire bras, bralettes, push-up and T-shirt bras, shorts, tai briefs and strings, in black, beige, pink, a red called Red Musk and a violet called Claret. A Triumph x Zalando edit billed as runway looks for everyday wear groups Love in Lace with the Amourette Sparkle, Comfort Glam and Comfort Allure ranges. The mix is classic Triumph: decorative lace on the front, comfort engineering in the back.

The full history, from the Heubach corset workshop to the global group, is on the Triumph International page. The company turns 140 in 2026 without the Chinese business that once defined its reach, and with a 2035 emissions target that the 2027 range is the first to be judged against.
