DeCoro

DeCoro is a lingerie and swimwear label known from two dated catalogs, spring-summer 2024 and autumn-winter 2025, held in the Fashion Model Directory and mirrored by 69 product records in this museum's archive. Its founder, home country and start date are not public. What can be described with confidence is what the catalogs show: strappy colored lingerie sets with suspender belts in one season, and printed resort swimwear in the next.

Two catalogs, two moods

The spring-summer 2024 catalog is a lingerie story, shot indoors in a white, sunlit house with clay vases and linen sofas. The pieces are built for display rather than for disappearing under a T-shirt. One set is a deep emerald satin and lace balconette with a matching suspender belt. Another is a sheer red set in fine mesh, an unlined bra with a center seam paired with a high-waisted suspender belt and brief. A third red set is all strapping and cut-outs, an open-cup frame bra with keyhole openings, worn with a strappy garter belt.

The autumn-winter 2025 catalog moves outside and becomes swimwear, which is an odd fit for the season name but common for labels that sell into warm-weather markets year round. It was shot against white plaster walls and open sea. The suits include a plain white string bikini, a triangle bikini in a dark animal print with black bottoms and a halter tie, and a one-piece in a speckled berry print with a deep scooped back laced across with ties.

Where DeCoro sits in the market

Put together, the two catalogs describe a familiar type of label: lingerie meant to be seen, with suspender belts sold as part of the set rather than as an extra, plus a swim line in the same color logic. Red, emerald and animal print are the colors of this corner of the market. The look sits closer to Honey Birdette, the Australian label known for matching sets sold with suspender belts, than to the minimal, nude-toned basics brands.

That positioning matters because the description this museum previously held for DeCoro said something different. It called the brand a boutique house of small-batch production, premium fabrics, delicate embroidery and "understated luxury." We could find no source for any of that. The catalogs show bright, strappy sets and print swimwear, not understated embroidery, and nothing public says how or in what quantities the garments are made. That description has been dropped.

A name shared with millwork and curtains

Searching for DeCoro mostly finds other businesses. Decoro.com belongs to Decoro, an American maker of exterior architectural millwork, columns, railings, pergolas and window surrounds, which says it has been operating for some sixty years. Decoro.com.au is a placeholder page for an Australian curtain and blind company, Decoro Custom Interiors. Decoro.com.br is a domain listed for sale. "Decoro" is the Italian and Portuguese word for decorum or propriety, so the name turns up wherever those languages are spoken. None of these businesses has any connection on the record to the lingerie label.

English Wikipedia has no article on DeCoro, and the Fashion Model Directory brand page carries no description, country or founding year, only the two dated catalogs.

What the record supports

The verifiable facts are short. DeCoro produced a lingerie catalog for spring-summer 2024 and a swimwear catalog labeled autumn-winter 2025, both featuring colored lingerie sets with suspender belts or resort swimwear in prints and solids. The 69 product records in the museum's archive come from those two seasons and are held in the private product archive. The label's pairing of balconette and open-frame bras with matching garter belts places it in the display-lingerie segment, and its swim line follows the same palette.

The rest, including the founder, the country and the factory, is not public. A label that shoots two polished catalogs in two years is a working business with a production budget. It has simply not published its story where a researcher can check it.
