A cheeky brief has a scooped-out back panel that exposes roughly the lower half of the buttocks while still covering the upper half. It's more than a tanga but less than a full brief, and the front is usually a standard bikini cut.
Cheekys became popular in the late 2000s and are now common across mass-market lingerie brands (Aerie, Calvin Klein, Victoria's Secret).
