The tanga sits between the thong and the bikini brief. The back has more fabric than a thong (some cheek coverage) but less than a full bikini (the sides are cut higher and the back is narrower). Sometimes called a "cheeky" in English- speaking markets, though the terms are fuzzy.
Tangas are popular in Brazilian lingerie brands and throughout Latin America and southern Europe.
How to Identify
- Partial rear coverage (between thong and full bikini)
- Narrower back panel than a bikini brief
- High-cut sides (the fabric at the hip is narrow)
